
DANI JUNQUERA

Dani was born in 1985 in Gijon, Spain. He started six years ago, listening and mixing music coming from Chicago. House and Deep were the main stiles played in his sets (Kerry Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Mylo, Funkstar, Michael Gray…) Passing the years and with more musical experience, he decided to open his mind to new different sounds. Electro and Minimal started to be listened by his public (Gui Borato, Alex Under, Marc Marcenit, Tiga, Pusch 79, Zoo Brazil, Alter Ego and many more) During this stage he started to mix in some Pubs and Clubs of his native city. Monthly resident in the Doblon de Oro, participation in the Semana Negra Gijón Festival , being the resident of Merendero Cortina (2004/2005/2006), Café Dam, Discoteca El Jardín, Museums (Laboral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial” 2008 Anniversary presentation), Hotel Cocktails, Paint exhibitions, and a lot of collaborations with Abierto Hasta el Amanecer association (AHA) – a young association for night entertainment without Drugs and Alcohol. His music passion is very strong, he considered music grow your culture up, “Mixing is art, and it means to be perseverance on it”. So he try to show this feeling for the music to young people, cooperating with AHA in Dj courses. The second stage starts with the main idea to get his own sound, with which he could transmit his way to live and feel the music. It has reached this point, he started to produce his own tracks and make live music. After playing with few synthesizers and drum machines, first songs were created on early’s 2009. His first album, Tempo EP Quadrant Recordings 040.1, was sold on October 2009. Now, he is waiting to publish new releases before the end of the year, and on 2010.
